Message From Ian

Relationships are meant to be a source of support and connection, but when things feel strained, it can leave you feeling frustrated, misunderstood, and unsure of what to do next.

Most couples aren’t fighting because they don’t care. They’re fighting because they don’t have the tools to navigate conflict effectively.

Unresolved arguments, emotional distance, or the aftermath of an affair can slowly erode trust and safety. And deep down, it can feel overwhelming to wonder, “Can we actually fix this?”

I’m Ian Rothery, and I’m an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Cedar Tree Counseling. The truth is, relationships aren’t supposed to feel this hard, and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

I specialize in helping couples work through conflict, rebuild trust, and develop the relationship skills needed for lasting change.

And I believe that with the right guidance, couples can move from feeling stuck to feeling understood, connected, and confident in their relationship again.

While my primary focus is couples, I also work with individuals, families, and teens, supporting concerns such as anxiety, depression, parenting and co-parenting, family relationships, and trauma.

Without support, relationship struggles often repeat themselves. But with the right tools and guidance, couples and families can experience deeper understanding, stronger connection, and meaningful resolution.

Getting started with counseling is simple.
First, click the “Schedule an Appointment” button and complete the intake form.
Next, we’ll reach out to you to schedule your first session.
Then, we’ll work together to create personalized therapy sessions tailored to your goals and needs.

If you’re ready to stop feeling stuck and start building healthier relationships, I invite you to take the next step. Please reach out today, and let’s work together toward meaningful change.

“Ian was the very first therapist that I ever had, and I’m so thankful I found him and was able to do work with him. He was so understanding and patient with me, while also challenging me in ways that really helped me grow as a person.”
