Message from Michael
My primary approach to therapy places strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. I believe trust and empathy help us heal and grow.Ā Ā
I ground my work in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), helpingĀ clients take actions guided by their values. I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients in recognizing and reframing unhelpful thought patterns. CBT can also help deepen awareness of the present and connection to emotional experiences. Together, these can increase resiliance and support meaningful change.Ā Ā
When not working with clients, you can find me spending time with family, at the gym, listening to an audiobook, or watching a good movie.
Cedar Tree's Mission:Ā
There are a lot of broken families who struggle to do life well together.Ā
Thatās why we help families create an environment where deeper connection & healing can happen.
